"It's Gonna Get You" is a killer rare UK underground brass funk hammond LP  produced by Eddy Grant. Two songs from this album "Zappatta In The City" and "Sweet Jam". Enjoy!!!

Eric Burdon & Jimmy Witherspoon- Guilty!- 1971 US

"Guilty!" (called Black & White Blues in re-releases) is a 1971 album by Eric Burdon and Jimmy Witherspoon. It was the first release by Burdon after he left his band War.
In September 1970, Jimi Hendrix died after a jam session with Eric Burdon & War at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London. After that, Burdon often broke down on stage. On 5 February 1971 he finally left the band in the middle of their European tour, allegedly due to exhaustion. After returning home and taking time off, the bulk of the album was recorded in summer with Witherspoon. The backing band, called Tovarish, consisted mainly of members from War.
"Home Dream" was taken from Eric Burdon & War's back catalog, the song's title refers to the John Phillips Studios in Los Angeles. "Soledad" was released as a single.(wiki)

Aura-1971 US

Definitely one of the better horn rock albums out there. The movement was quite large after Chicago and BS&T  became chart toppers (interesting to note that Aura were also from Chicago). However most of these horn groups tried too hard for pop stardom, and failed miserably.
Or they were blues rock groups that added horns in a feeble attempt to be trendy. But Aura just kicks butt from beginning to end. They never lost focus of the horn charts and they’re constantly a feature, rather than a side show for some lame songwriting.
In fact, Aura are BRASSY, more than any other album I’ve heard in the style anyway. Also some nice sax, organ and guitar solos to check out. Aura aren’t progressive in the sense of Brainchild or McLuhan – more like BS&T if they’d amped up a bit and hadn’t been so schmaltzy. (ashratom RYM)
The album has also some great covers like Doug Sahm's "Song Of Everything" and Richie Havens'"No Opportunity Needed, No Experience Necessary".
Their sole album released in 1971 on Mercury Records (SRM 1-620). I chose "Song Of Everything" and "Listen To Me".

Graham Bond -Love Is The Law-1969 US

Graham John Clifton Bond (28 October 1937 – 8 May 1974) was an English musician and occultist, considered a founding father of the English rhythm and blues boom of the 1960s.(wiki)
Recorded in Los Angeles, "Love Is The Law" saw Bond play all instruments on the album (except drums) and included material that featured Jazz influences alongside emerging Psychedelic and underground Rock influences resulting in a truly unique and highly sought after work, laced with fine musicianship and mystical lyrics. (Esoteric 2011).
From this great album i chose "Love Is The Law", "Our Love Will Come Shining Through" and "Crossroads Of Time". Enjoy!!!

Herbie Mann- Turtle Bay-1973 US

"Turtle Bay" is an album by flautist Herbie Mann recorded in 1971 and 1973 and released on the Atlantic label.The Allmusic site awarded the album 3 stars stating: "Herbie Mann goes back to the well of soul on this LP and comes up with another tastefully funky selection of rock/R&B hits mixed with a few originals of his own. ... Herbie's own flute work is often low-key, maybe even a bit lazy, but he is audibly sympathetic with the material".(wiki)

The Yellow Balloon- 1967 US

The Yellow Balloon was an American sunshine pop band, produced by Gary Zekley. The group is notable for featuring Don Grady (sometimes billed as "Luke R. Yoo") of Mouseketeers and My Three Sons fame. Other band members hailed from Oregon and Arizona. They were led by Alex Valdez (lead singer), and included Frosty Green (keyboards), Don Braucht (bass guitar), and Paul Cannella (lead guitar).
The Yellow Balloon released multiple singles, including their hit "Yellow Balloon" which peaked at #25 on the Billboard 100 Chart and  "Good Feelin' Time" both taken from the group's debut album.
The band's 1967 self-titled LP was released through Canterbury Records (CLPS-1502) and besides featuring the hit single "Yellow Balloon", also included two songs co-written by former The Mamas & the Papas singer Jill Gibson.
From this album i chose "How Can I Be Down", "Yellow Balloon" and "Follow The Sunshine".

Willie Bobo And The Bo-Gents - Do What You Want To Do-1971 US

Willie Bobo was the stage name of William Correa (February 28, 1934 – September 15, 1983), a Latin and jazz percussionist of Puerto Rican ancestry.William Correa grew up in Spanish Harlem, New York City. He made his name in Latin Jazz, specifically Afro-Cuban jazz, in the 1960s and '70s, with the timbales becoming his favoured instrument. He met Mongo Santamaría shortly after his arrival in New York and studied with him while acting as his translator, and later at the age of 19 joined Tito Puente for four years.(wiki)
